Uninstall, Update CSS
Uninstall SNS CSS
The SNS CSS Office applications don't install any DLLs etc.
Everything is contained in the directory tree that
you downloaded from this web page.
Under Windows, that's something like "sns_css_...".
To uninstall, just delete that whole CSS directory tree.
Your workspace with for example Data Browser configuration files
defaults to 'CSS-Workspaces/Default' in your home directory.
If you don't care to keep it, you can just delete.
A new, empty one will be created when you start CSS the next time.
Update SNS CSS
You can always simply download the latest copy of SNS CSS just like you
downloaded the initial copy. Most updates require this,
and it is usually the easiest thing to do.
Your Data Browser config files etc. are kept in the "Workspace",
i.e. separate from the application itself, so they are usually
not affected by application updates.
We are at this time not using the Eclipse online update mechanism.
It would be used like this:
- Within CSS, select the menu "Help/Software Updates/Find and Install...",
and basically keep pressing yes/next/OK/Finish.
- "Search for updates of the currently installed features", "Finish"
- "SNS CSS Update Site" should be selected. Press "Next".
- "I accept the ... license...", press "next", "Finish", "Install All".
- Answer "Yes" when prompted for a CSS restart.
... but again we're not really supporting that at this time.
